EVENTS // NSJF PULSAR SPORTS AWARDS 2077

Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, an umbrella organisation of Nepali sports journalists, organised the 18th edition of the Pulsar Sports Awards on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Kathmandu.

Among the awards distributed in nine categories, Late Sharad Chandra Shaha, a former member-secretary of the National Sports Council, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. His tenure at the council is considered the Golden Age of Nepali Sports. Shaha is the first person to introduce the South Asian Games. Similarly, he was credited for developing the status of various modern games in Nepal. Shaha’s daughter Mihika received the posthumous award.

The event was sponsored by Hansaraj Hulaschand and Company Pvt Ltd, the sole authorised producer and distributor of Pulsar motorbikes in the country.
